Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to explore the current status and correlation of junior high school teachers’ knowledge management capability and teaching quality in Taipei. Questionnaire survey, on Teachers' Knowledge Management Capability and Teaching Quality was developed as the research instrument. Subjects were 725 teachers from junior high schools in Taipei area. 519 samples were effective and the rate of retrieve was 71.58%. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistic, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression analysis. Conclusions were as follows: 1. The current condition of junior high school teachers’ knowledge management capability is above average. 2.The current condition of junior high school teachers’ teaching quality is above average. 3.Male teachers and administrator are better as a whole in knowledge management capability. 4.Male teachers are better as a whole in teaching quality. 5.There is a high positive correlation between teachers’ knowledge management capability and teaching quality for junior high schools. 6.Teachers’ knowledge management capability is a proper indicator in predicting teaching quality for junior high schools. Based on the results of the study, the researcher offers concrete suggestions to the educational authorities, teachers, and follow- up researchers.
