Abstract：
Since Marvin C. Alkin presented the concept of Evaluation Theory Tree at the seminar of the American Evaluation Association (AEA) in 2002, it has received dramatically success and widely discussion. The Tree has evolutionally undergone corrections in 2004, modifications in 2008, and the reference literature of the global ap plication of evaluation in 2012 and represented its development. This study includes (1) the origin, (2) the trip of Evaluation Roots , (3) the modification, (4) the adoption of literature, and (5) a new lesson for evaluation researchers, which illustrate t he evolving process and the evaluations used around the world. Also, the process represents Alkin’s cultural and humane inspiration through the Tree.
