The Reconstruction of Evaluation Indicators for
Elementary Schools in Kaohsiung City

Abstract:
The study aimed to reconstruct appropriate evaluation indicators for elementary schools in Kaohsiung City. Delphi technique and Questionnaire surveys were used, the former consulted 17 experts' opinions survey to integrate and delete the original indicators. 1290 teachers were sampled from 86 elementary schools. Conclusions of the research are: 35 evaluation indicators revised using the Delphi technique. In addition, 3 domains, 8 criteria and 35 indicators were recognized after the questionnaire survey. Based on the results, suggestions are proposed: (1)35 indicators could be referred to school evaluation for the next school year. (2)The educational authority can choose part from the 35 indications, according to importance and practicality. (3)Analyzing and define the meaning of 35 indicators for future research, inviting stakeholders to participate in reconstruction andresearch of teaching responsibility.
